VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS ) —Services for Mrs. Nina Keller Edwards, 57, of Veedersburg Route 2, will be at 2 p.m. EDT Monday at the United Methodist Church in Stone Bluff with the Rev. Earl Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards died at 9 p.m. Wednesday (June 4, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., as the result of an auto accident near Veedersburg. Born Jan. 24, 1912 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Clint and Mary Brewer Keller. She was married to Fred Edwards on Oct. 1, 1928. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Stone Bluff. Surviving are the husband; three sons, Thomas of Arkansas, Fred Jr. of Pomona, Calif., and Billy, serving with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam; her mother of Yeddo, and a brother Harry Keller of Kingman. Friends will be received at the Fishero Funeral Home after 7 tonight. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to service.

VEEDERSBURG — A rural Veedersburg woman was fatally injured and six other persons hurt in the collision of a car and a pick-up truck northeast of here Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Nina Edwards, 57, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg, died Wednesday night in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., of injuries suffered in the mishap. Mrs. Edwards was riding in the truck being driven west on the Simpson Gravel Road (100N) by her husband, Fred E. Edwards, 61. Their grandson, Thomas Edwards, 11, was also injured in the collision. State police said the truck pulled from the county road across U.S. 41 into the path of a southbound car driven by Thomas Holt, 24, of Chicago. The car struck the bed of the truck, sending it some 200 feet down the road, investigating officers said. The truck broke into several pieces as it went down the road. All three in the truck were thrown from the vehicle. Mrs. Edwards had multiple head and internal injuries, state police said. Her husband complained of chest pains and was listed in fairly good condition at St. Elizabeth. Thomas Edwards had cuts, bruises and a possibly broken arm and also was listed in fairly good condition. Thomas Holt had cuts on his leg, police said. Passengers in his car were: Dennis Holt, 13, head injuries; John Holt, 26, lacerations of the nose and an eye, and Chester Holt, 19, lacerations of both legs. They were all taken to St. Elizabeth for treatment. Investigating the accident were Troopers Lloyd Jennings and Charles Jerrel. Nina Keller Edwards was born Jan. 24, 1912, in Fountain County. She was the daughter of Clint and Mary Brewer Keller. Mrs. Edwards was married Oct. 1, 1928. She was a member of the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to the mother and husband, are three sons, Billy Edwards, a serviceman now stationed in Vietnam, and Thomas E. Edwards and Fred E. Edwards Jr.; a brother, Harry Keller of Kingman, and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home.
